Once you have submitted an application for a program, CHA will take 2-6 weeks to process your information. When we have uploaded your information into our system, you will receive a letter in the mail verifying that you have been added to our wait list. You may call once a month on Thursday to receive your updated waiting list number. For public housing, your waiting list number may fluctuate due to the fact that this program has a homeless preference.
When you reach the top of the list, we will personally call and set up and appointment date and time with you.
Be sure to bring the information listed below for ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD. All individuals in your household above the age of 18 also needs to be at your appointment so they can sign the paperwork.
An government issued current identification card or driver's license
An official government issued birth certificate with seal
Your federally issued Social Security card
Your three (3) most recent check stub or proof of income from your present employer
Your three (3) most recent monthly bank statements
Official letters with letterhead to prove your income
